Room occupancy

Which meeting rooms, huddle spaces and phone booths are really used, and which are booked but empty.

Desk occupancy

Find out how many desks your hybrid workforce actually needs, based on measured use.

People counting

Count how many people come in, move through floors and use each space, anonymously.

“How many desks do we actually need?”

Right-size your desk pool on measured use, and give back the space you don’t need.

“Are we paying for floors nobody uses?”

Avoid expansions you don’t need and stop heating and cooling empty space.

“Do we need more meeting rooms, or better-used ones?”

Match rooms and sizes to how people actually meet.

“Does our hybrid policy work?”

Validate it with data instead of opinions, so people find the right spaces for focus and collaboration.

Right-size your portfolio, plan layouts and go into lease negotiations with measured utilization behind every number. Compare floors, buildings and sites in one view, and see which spaces earn their cost. With first data on day one, you can measure before the next lease decision, not after it.

Clean, structured, anonymous data through open APIs, into your BI tools, data lake or workplace apps, or to your own AI. Hosted in the EU and ISO 27001 certified. The sensors run on their own wireless network, outside your IT infrastructure.

Shape hybrid policy and the office experience around how people really work, not survey answers. No cameras, no personal data and no individual tracking, which makes it easier to approve with your privacy officer and employee representatives.

One data model for every space

The Haltian platform turns raw sensor readings into occupancy data: which spaces are used, when, and by how many people. Every building and site is measured the same way, so you can compare them side by side.

Your data, wherever you want it

Send the data through open APIs to the tools you already use: partner software such as Cisco Spaces and Microsoft Places, your own systems such as BI tools or a data lake, and AI tools. You can change where the data goes at any time, without touching a sensor.

Uniper

“We chose Haltian because we wanted to learn how our people use our offices and to make hybrid working as easy as possible for our employees.”

Built to be deployed, trusted and used

  • Anonymous by design. No cameras, no biometrics, no personal data. The sensors only detect whether a space is in use and how many people are there.
  • Fast to deploy. Peel, stick, done. Data on day one, with no IT project. The sensors connect through their own wireless network and a gateway that plugs into a power socket, so nothing touches your IT infrastructure.
  • Open data, not a closed platform. Get the data through open APIs, as a real-time stream or as a full export at any time, into your own systems, partner apps or AI tools. The data belongs to you.
  • One platform, many use cases. Cleaning, parking and air quality data come into the same platform, so you can combine them and add new use cases as you go
  • European, built to pass privacy review. The platform is hosted in the EU, Haltian is ISO 27001 certified, and the solution is designed for GDPR compliance. Sensors designed and manufactured in Finland.

What is space utilization analytics?

Measuring how spaces are actually used (which rooms, desks and floors are occupied, when and for how long) instead of how they were designed or booked.

By dividing the time a space is occupied by the time it is available, for example during working hours. A meeting room occupied for four of eight working hours has a utilization rate of 50%.

No. Haltian’s sensors use passive infrared and detect presence or counts only. No cameras, microphones, biometrics or individual tracking.

Small wireless Haltian sensors stick in place, and a gateway plugs into a power socket. No cabling, drilling or changes to your network.

The same day the sensors are up. Haltian data is available from day one.

Yes. Open APIs deliver it to your BI tools, data lake, workplace apps or AI agents, and you can export your full history at any time. You are never locked into Haltian platform.

Yes. Comparing measured use with bookings is how no-shows become visible. Haltian data also feeds workplace, IWMS and building systems.

Haltian sensors and gateways are a one-time investment. After that, a SaaS subscription with built-in reports keeps your costs predictable, and it scales as you add spaces.

Yes. You can buy directly from Haltian or through one of Haltian’s partners, and the data is the same either way.

Haltian hosts all data in the EU. The data belongs to you.
